Details:
George E. Ohr has given himself the nickname “Mad Potter of Biloxi”. He is ranked as the first to create art pottery in the USA with his own language of form. Typical for the potter George E. Ohr are the thin walls of his vessels. The ceramic bowl here is so thin that one fears to break it if packed too tightly. The transparent glaze with black spots leaves the coloration to the red-orange shard.
