Albrecht HOHLT (* 1928, † 1960)

Albrecht Hohlt is the most outstanding empiricist among 20th century ceramists in Germany. Unfortunately, he had to pay for his highly toxic glaze experiments with an early death. [1]

1928 born in Munich, Germany 1946 helps his father Otto Hohlt to build up the Studio Hohlt 1948 visits exhibition of old Chinese ceramics in Cologne

1951 studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich; journeyman’s examination as a potter (with Franz Eska) 1960 died in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany
