Details:
The ceramist Otto Douglas-Hill, actually Otto Douglas Douglas-Hill, is known for his extraordinary shapes. Douglas-Hill could not throw himself, but he designed this ceramic planter. The planter probably dates back to the 1940s, when the material became scarce due to the Second World War and thus no complex glazes were possible.
