Kintsugi Psychology

Kintsugi psychology, which is covered in many life-help books, takes from the original kintsugi philosophy, for example, the principle of seeing something beautiful even in imperfection (turning away from perfectionism). In addition, kintsugi psychology emphasises that healing wounds takes time, which also stems from the kintsugi method of repairing ceramics and porcelain, as such repairs can take weeks, months or even years, depending on the complexity of the damage and the repair procedure chosen.
