Details:
This vase by the potter Clary von Ruckteschell-Truëb is unglazed on the outside. On the inside it has a black glaze. The vase was probably made in the 1940s. Since material shortage prevailed in and immediately after the war, it was not possible to produce elaborate glazes. Ceramists like Ruckteschell-Truëb or ceramists like Bontjes van Beek have used structural techniques instead to decorate their artworks.
