Condition: several small nicks on the muzzle repaired by Gintsugi repair method with silver lacquer, i.e. Urushi lacquer sprinkled with powder of real silver.

Signature/mark: Rb in the oval and “98.” (handwritten)

Details:
This vase is a ceramic by Richard Bampi, designed by Julius Bissier [1]. The glaze has the typical for Bampi drops at the bottom. The vase bears the handwritten number 98 in red. Bampi made such red numbering for pieces that he considered to be particularly well-made and worth exhibiting. Some of these red numbers can also be attributed to actual exhibitions held in the 1950s [2].
