Gerhard MARCKS (* 1889, † 1981)

Gerhard Marcks was a German sculptor who taught at the State Bauhaus and later at the Burg Giebichenstein Art School, among other places.

Several of his works were denounced as ‘degenerate art’ by the National Socialists.
