Hans BERBER-CREDNER (* 1908, † 1998)

Hans Berber-Credner was the half-brother of the dancer Anita Berber.

he teaches himself to make pottery and runs the Osternacher workshop, Prien on Lake Chiemsee

– His friendship with the ceramist Otto Hohlt, who had his pottery in the neighbouring town of Katzbach am Inn played an
important role in his development; Hans Berber-Credner’s glazes are
strongly reminiscent of the glazes the glazes of the Hohlt workshop.

he runs his own workshop in Fischerhude near Bremen.

– here he mainly produces vessels with reduction glazes.

dies, Germany (grave is in the Quelkhorn cemetery in Fischerhude-Quelkhorn).
