Otto Douglas-Hill exhibition at the Berlin Museum of Ceramics extended

To mark the 125th anniversary of Otto Douglas-Hill's birth, the Keramik-Museum Berlin is staging an exhibition entitled Otto Douglas-Hill 1897-1972.

On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of his birth

The exhibition “Otto Douglas-Hill 1897-1972” at the Berlin Museum of Ceramics (Keramik-Museum Berlin) was originally scheduled to run only from September 12, 2022 to January 23, 2023. Now the Berlin Museum of Ceramics has announced that the exhibition has been extended until May 29, 2023.

The occasion of the exhibition is the 125th birthday of the ceramist Otto Douglas-Hill. The Berlin Museum of Ceramics wants to honor one of the most important Berlin ceramists from the period of the first half of the 20th century. In fact, he is one of the most important ceramists in Germany and even the world of his time.

Special language of forms and spectacular glazes

Otto Douglas-Hill is distinguished on the one hand by his very own formal language. In addition, he also stands out for his intensely colored light to turquoise-blue as well as bright yellow glazes.

In the exhibition of the Ceramics Museum Berlin about forty exhibits are presented. In addition to turned vessels, there are also built ceramics by Otto Douglas-Hill.

The Berlin Museum of Ceramics is located at Schustehrusstraße 13, in 10585 Berlin-Charlottenburg, Germany.

The opening hours of the Berlin Museum of Ceramics are: Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon 1pm to 5pm.
