This is a drawing in ink depicting the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in a thinking pose. The portrait of Nietzsche also features his characteristic moustache. The artist Mila Vázquez Otero was inspired by the very famous portrait photograph taken of Nietzsche by the portrait painter and photographer Gustav Adolf Schultze in 1882.
The portrait of Friedrich Nietzsche has a very striking effect on the viewer due to the light-shadow contrast of black ink and old white drawing paper.
The frame is made of wood and the drawing is protected in the frame by a glass pane. The drawing is sold together with the frame, so the frame is included.
